Hello!
Hello! My name is Jessica and I'm a 30 something living in Philadelphia. I grew up in Jakarta, Indonesia but moved to NYC at a very young age prior to calling Philadelphia home.
What's the deal with this blog?
Well, to put it simply I write about books I read, beauty products I use and love, my travel & food adventures and a mix of lifestyle posts. This blog is a way for me to catalog my favorite books, products, memories and adventures that define my world one post at a time.
What can you expect?
Books: I've been a speed-reader for as long as I can remember so I do read and consume a lot of books (many of which I want to share with you). You can expect a mix of genre in my books reviews.
Beauty: In this blog I will try to focus on products that are affordable but don't skimp on quality. I started wearing makeup in High School for Musical Theater productions so from a young age I learned about what product my skin likes and dislike. As I grew up/get older I have a tendency to invest in skin care before makeup.
Travel: My travel adventures will most likely have an element of food so I hope to develop and continue my Hungry Girl Guide series in 2016. My International adventures have included trips across Canada, Cyprus, Singapore and to the islands of Indonesia. Locally, I'll be writing about my adventures in Philly, Boston, Washington D.C., and NYC.
Lifestyle: For me lifestyle posts are celebrations of everything else that do not necessarily "fit" in the other categories. It may manifest as recipes, DIY projects or my unhealthy obsession with stationary and planners.
I hope you'll stick around and join me in this adventure of defining my world one post at a time. Thanks for reading!
Until next time,
Jessica

And one last thing...
What's with the disclaimer on the bottom of some of your posts?
As a consumer of a lot of blogs and YouTube videos, I understand how frustrating it can be if sponsored posts & videos aren't labeled as such. I value the time that you put into my reading my content and I will always be honest and straightforward with posts that contain free products (PR samples/Brand Collaborations, etc) and any paid sponsored content that have and may appear on my blog. All of the brands I've worked with in the past have been extremely flexible and understanding in my personal desire of producing honest reviews. Yes, I place a small disclaimer on the bottom of the posts that contains free products or paid content but you will most likely know within the first paragraph if it's a sponsored content.
