Ulta & Sephora Birthday Gift 2015
Last year in my Sephora vs. ULTA reward program post I had shared the birthday gift that I had received, so I figured this year I would do the same in case you are interested.
ULTA- Happy Birthday Gorgeous!
ULTAmate Reward members will receive an ULTA brand penta eye shadows palette.in Indie. The website says it's valued at $12.50 which I personally think is too high for the quality of the product. The two top and center shadow swatched fine. They've got nice shimmer but not super pigmented. The bottom two, I probably will not use. The matte brown and shimmer purple shadows are chalky and just didn't apply very well. I think a couple of the colors are similar to the Wet n' Wild Walking on Egg Shell I have which to me applies better.
SEPHORA Beauty Insider - Happy Birthday One Year Bolder!
This year Sephora Beauty Insider Birthday gift is two mini lip pencils from NARS. The first is a mini Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Cruella and the second is a mini Satin Lip Pencil in Rikugien. Both are super pigmented and beautiful. I 've tried both and I have to say I am definitely interested in buying the full size. Cruella is a gorgeous scarlet red matte lip that's great for special occasions and the satin Rikugien is definitely more wearable for a day to day shimmery rose-pink lip look. Both are super creamy and are long lasting on their own. I think it's a nice a change from the Make Up Forever that was offered two years in a row, but the amount of the gift is so tiny in comparison to previous years (0.06 oz for Cruella and 0.05 for Rikugien).
