First Impressions Wet n Wild Fergie CenterStage Milano Palette & Eyeshadow Primer

Wet n Wild Fergie, Wet n Wild CenterStage, Wet n Wild Milano, Fergie Milano

I decided to go to Walgreens yesterday because I wanted to check out the eyeshadow primer and Reserve Your Cabana bronzer. Instead, I saw the new Fergie display and saw two new palettes side by side: Milano and Paris Runway. As I mentioned in my previous post I've been trying not to purchase things I don't really need. I am on a mission to de-clutter this year but alas, the Milano palette called to me and Walgreens also has a buy 1 get 1 50% off on Wet n Wild Cosmetics.

There are 10 colors -5 shimmer and 5 matte shadows and a dual ended eyeshadow brush (flat on one side and fluffy on the other). I think that three of the colors are similar to the Wet n Wild Walking on Eggshell trio.

1. Light Cream Matte with a bit of a sheen
2. Shimmery pinky peach
3. Metallic antique gold
4. Metallic copper
5. Metallic bronze
6. Matte chocolatey brown
7. Metallic pink-brown
8. Warm deep brown matte with a little bit of shimmer
9. Cool deep brown matte
10. Matte black

Color wise, this was definitely the palette I am looking for, but I am super disappointed at the amount of fall out #8 & #9 produce.  Other than that, all the shimmer colors are super pigmented and swatched beautifully.

I played with the colors once I got home. Applied the primer to my right lid only and I definitely think for day to day wear (especially if you want to use the brown shadows) you need to use the primer. The shadows applied better on the lid that has the primer and will probably last longer. In the future, to avoid the massive powdery mess of the two brown shadows, I will probably spray my brush with a bit of water. Doing that will also intensify the colors.

The primer is super creamy and blendable. Its' definitely not sheer though which is not necessarily a bad thing. It gave my lids nice cream base to work with and the shadows applied smoothly. Wet n Wild also came out with a shimmer version of the eye shadow primer in case you are interested.

The last thing I want to talk about is the dual ended brush that came with the palette. I have a pretty big problem with those sponge brushes that come with drugstore palettes because I personally don't like them and I think they are pretty useless. This one however is pretty decent. I like the flat brush side better, I don't think the fluffy blending brush is all that useful. So keep the brush for the flat side to pack on the shadows and pick up the $1 elf blending brush.

If you are interested in the Milano palette, go check out Walgreens. The palette is $7.99 for 0.28oz and the primer is $5.29 for 0.34 fl. oz. As always, thanks for reading!

Until next time,
