June Reading Challenge Update
I read a lot of books this past month but many of them didn't fit under any of the remaining Reading Challenge list. Now that I've passed the 50% mark, the challenge is getting more difficult because I've clearly avoided some of them for a reason (a book with more than 500 pages/a book with antonyms in the title).
A book that came out the year you were born
The Silmillarion by J.R.R. Tokien
A book set in the future
A book from an author you love that you haven't read
Insatiable & Overbite by Meg Cabot

4/5 stars
As I mentioned in a previous post I am trying to read as much Tolkien as I can this year so I will probably do a year-end review of all the books I was able to read.

I still haven't decide if I am doing a review of this book because I'm still torn about it so go over to my friend's The Drowsy Reader for her take on the book.

Insatiable & Overbite by Meg Cabot
I was going to do a review of the two books in the series but apparently while updating my Goodreads I found out that she is working on the third book so I will wait and reserve judgement on the series as a whole. I can say however, that book 1 for me was okay while book 2 was a huge disappointment. With that said, the book is typical vampire novel: girl meets vampire, falls in love with vampire while a vampire hunter also likes girl and is trying to kill said vampire. So if you don't read this series are you really missing out? No, but if you are a fan of Meg Cabot you might get a kick out of reading it. I would say it's a lot darker than the twilight series (it's not listed under YA). I'm not even sure why there's a book 3 since it didn't end on a cliffhanger. Like I said, we shall wait and see.
I do have to mention that I also didn't like Meg Cabot's Queen of Babble series and I am about to read the Size series. I hope I'll like at least one of Cabot's Adult series. Maybe I've outgrown her writing? Something to definitely think about.
As always, thanks for reading!
