Covergirl Star Wars Lipstick Review (Red 30)
As you may or may not know, Covergirl has a line of Star Wars cosmetics in conjunction with the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The full Covergirl Star Wars Collection contains 6 lipsticks, 3 nail polish, and 2 types of mascara. When the line was first released and advertised I researched the line and decided that I wanted to try two of the lipsticks which are Red 30 & Dark Purple 50.
Until next time,

I searched a lot of stores and was only able to find one Rite Aid that even has the Star Wars display. A lot of the lipsticks were open (thanks a lot folks!) so I ended up only purchasing the one lipstick that was still sealed which was Red 30. The package is really sleek which I love. It has the Star Wars Logo displayed prominently and the color sample at the bottom of the tube. In terms of the formula, it's very shimmery and doesn't apply evenly so you do have to be careful with dry patches. I'm personally not a big fan of wearing non-matte reds but this is a collectible and very festive.
The shade is very nice and I think flatters my skin tone really well. It's definitely a deeper red that's similar to MAC Cruella. I do find myself re-applying it more just because I know it doesn't have the same longevity as some of my matte-reds. I also don't find it necessary to use a lip liner which is great. I've been using the e.l.f. Kiss it Goodbye Color Remover which works really well with all the deep red shades I've been using during the holiday season.
I believe that the ULTA in Center City Philadelphia now carries the line so I will see if they have Dark Purple 50 because I am still looking for a really good purple lipstick. If you can recommend any please write me down below. As always, thanks for reading!
Until next time,
