NYC Trip: Inglot, H&M Home, Muji, e.l.f. store + Haul
Last month, I went on a quick weekend trip to visit my friend Saudia (The Drowsy Reader) where we traversed about NYC, did a bit of shopping and lots of eating. I used to live in New York City prior to living in Philly and I go to NYC several times a year (for work and play) and still to this day I always find something new and interesting to do. This trip was no exception.
The first stop we made was actually to Macy's Herald Square but they didn't open till 11am so off we went to the H&M Herald Square Flagship Store on W 35th St. which is only about 2 blocks away from another H&M store. The H&M flagship carries the H&M Home line and full beauty line. I watch a lot of British YouTubers and I must admit I get really envious when they start talking about H&M Home, Zara Home and John Lewis so I was really excited that we stumbled upon this piece of gem by accident.
There were some pieces I absolutely love but decided not to get just because I knew I would have to carry it on the train with me so I picked up two things: a storage basket and napkins that says " Flavour everything with love".

After H&M we made our way back to Macy's to find the Inglot stand. My intention was to create a freedom palette. I did my research online and knew the exact palette and shadows I wanted to try and swatch (which are surprise, surprise- neutral browns and gold). Unfortunately, the sales associate wasn't very helpful she was actually quite rude and that just made me very uninterested in purchasing anything.
The display was dirty and messy and to be quite honest after hearing so much about how amazing their shadows are I find some of the shadows to be quite chalky and powdery. I was actually quite disappointed because it's really hard to find a palette that'll have shadows I really love but it just wasn't meant to be.
After Inglot, we made our way to Housing Works which I've discussed on a previous NYC trip post. For some reason I apparently didn't have a hardcover copy of Harry potter and the Sorcerer Store so I picked that up to complete my collection.
NYC also has one of my all-time favorite stores which is MUJI. I picked up a container for my lipsticks, a checklist pad and of course colorful pens. These pens are my favorite, I think I have them in almost every color. MUJI is any stationary lovers' haven.
If you love e.l.f. and are based in NYC or plan to visit NYC the Broadway store is fantastic. The sale associate that we had helping us was really helpful. He cleaned the products for us so we can try it on and we had a great time.
Beauty Haul
These are the cumulative items I've picked up during my trip. I got an exfoliating foot mask (similar to baby feet) from Saudia. It Cosmetics CC+, NYX Dark Circle Concealer & Simple wipes from ULTA. e.l.f. Matte Lip Color in Scarlet and Bite in Mulberry which apparently was pulled from Sephora as Bite introduced a new line called 'Amuse Bouche'.
As always, thanks for reading! You can keep up with my adventures on Instagram.
