This is my first Dollar Tree Beauty in 2016 and I am so excited to have found some really good products. Over the past few months I've been slowly de-cluttering and down-sizing and one of the biggest culprit is definitely makeup. When I reviewed the beauty products that I was getting rid of, a lot of the products I got from the Dollar Tree last year did end up on the bin.
This time around, I'm trying to be more conscious about the makeup that I buy in general but from Dollar Tree especially because they are "only" $1 but if I know that product is not going to work I'm just going to pass and wait until products I like hit the shelves.
Milani Bella Gel Powder Eyeshadow
The first product that caught my eyes were the
Bella Gel Powder Eyeshadow from Milani. They are absolutely beautiful. I used to have one of the brown shades in Cappuccino. The Dollar Tree I went to didn't have the neutral colors, they were all very bright blues, purples and greens so I picked the two that I thought I would actually use which are Bella Rose and Bella Charcoal.
I still don't understand where the "gel" part comes from (the website states gel formula transformed into a powder) but honestly the product is so velvety and pigmented Milani can call it whatever they want. To my knowledge, these are not discontinued products. I don't know if they were re-formulated but I did check and they are still in store and usually retails for $4.99.
Revlon Nail Enamel
The second product I picked up is a pack of Revlon Nail Enamel. This line from Revlon is a classic. I remember seeing my mom's collection when I was younger growing up and to this day this is still one of her favorite nail polish. I have one in my collection called "dreamer" which reminds me of Pantone's Parisian Blue. I actually just wanted the pink polish in "Flirty" but I had to get it in packs of 2. Luckily there were some combination options and I picked the polish that I thought I might wear at some point which is "Silver Dollar". I'm actually surprise at how well Silver Dollar applies. Since it's not loose glitter, it's applies evenly and doesn't take a lot of energy to take off with regular polish remover. Flirty on the other hand is a beautiful magenta perfect for spring.

I didn't realized until I got home that I essentially picked up the same shade combination for both the shadows and the polish of pink/silver but they worked out great. If you see these at the Dollar Tree definitely give them a try.
Until next time,
