As the first full week of January 2011 comes to an end, the resolutions that we made last year may be on the verge of ruins. New Year's resolutions such as attempts to stop smoking, excessive drinking, gambling, going to the gym or let' say... late night eating (which this author is guilty off) are not things that can easily disappear. Just because we make it part of our annual resolutions doesn't mean that it will come true. Even with a new found dedications, energy and efforts sometimes "staying on the wagon" takes more than desire and will.
Please look at the following abcnews link which I found to be very informative and practical. The article discuss how our brain can sabotage the success of our New Year's resolution. Three major points that I took from this article are the importance of repetition, reward and evaluation.
So for those of you who are still on the wagon, evaluate, relax, repeat, and reward yourself!
