Inspirational Quotes and Poems Thursday

Hi all,

In honor of The Hobbit: the Desolation of Smaug here's a couple of my favorite J.R.R Tolkien's work.
"Remember what Bilbo used to say: It's a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no knowing where you might be swept off to." The Lord of the Rings

And the Poem "All That Is Gold Does Not Glitter" also from the Lord of the Rings.

 All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.

The last quote is from The Hobbit-

“There is nothing like looking, if you want to find something. You certainly usually find something, if you look, but it is not always quite the something you were after.”

If you are a fan of J.R.R. Tolkien, The Lord of the Rings, Peter Jackson and the first Hobbit movie I hope you have the change to see it during the holiday season.

Until next time,
