Bloomingdale's Clinique Haul & Gift with Purchase
Hi all,
Today I went to Bloomingdale's Clinique to get a foundation with a better color match (I use the Even Better Foundation with SPF 15 in the color Creamwhip-14). A few weeks ago I actually had gone to a Clinique counter and got two different samples of two shades that I think might work better with my skin tone now that it's winter and I'm a lot paler. It came down to two shades- Ivory and Buff. One of the reason why I've been really frustrated with my current foundation shade is that I have a pink undertone and I have a natural flush on my cheeks especially when it's really cold or hot. The Creamwhip shade just tends to make my face pinker and tanner than it actually is, which is fine in the summer time but not when I am pale.
So here are the swatches:
So as you can see Creamwhip is a very nice neutral tone which is perfect for when I'm a couple of shades darker. Ivory is also very nice but still comes through as a little bit too pink. Buff's tone that's slightly golden-neutral wins out in the end.
At Clinique I also picked up the Even Better Compact Makeup Broad Spectrum 15. It's a foundation powder so it's very creamy but it dries to a nice powdery feel.
I also got another Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Color Balm. I have two of the Chubby Stick Intense so today I figured I'll try the neutral-sheer one.
It comes with an adorable Clinique Travel bag and some really fun goodies.
There are two options for the gift with purchase you can either get the "pink" or "Tawnies" gifts. All of the items are the same except for the eyeshadow/blush palette and the nail polish that came in the package.
