Quotes Thursday
Hi all,
First of all let me just say a huge SORRY for not coming through with the ULTA haul and NYC trip posts. I got one of the worse cold virus in years and was bedridden for pretty much the past week and a half.
So today's quotes are for everyone who is pretty much over the endless snow storms that's been brought to us by mother nature these past couple of months. I, for one, love snow and cold weather so I'm not as excited for winter season to end.
“Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire: it is the time for home.”
― Edith Sitwell
“If winter comes, can spring be far behind?”
― Percy Bysshe Shelley, Ode to the West Wind
“Winter is not a season, it's an occupation.”
― Sinclair Lewis
"Snow was falling,
so much like stars
filling the dark trees
that one could easily imagine
its reason for being was nothing more
than prettiness.”
― Mary Oliver
And for all of you who are over the snow storms, I saved the last one for you...
“A lot of people like snow. I find it to be an unnecessary freezing of water.”
― Carl Reiner
Thank you for your patience as I recover from the cold. If you live in the states that are being affected by this snow storm, please stay indoors. Keep warm and stay safe!
Until next time,
Jessica

In the depth of winter I finally learned that there was in me an invincible summer.
