Ulta Haul, Quick Product Reviews & Ulta Reward Gift

Hello all,

So today's post will be about my Ulta Haul or I guess I should say hauls. I actually made two different trip last month so it looks like a lot of items but I was able to stretch my dollars by using $3.50 off $10 coupons that I get in the catalog and a second one on my email.  The only thing that is not in the picture is the Macadamia Natural Oil Travel Size Deep Repair Masque  which I used before I had a chance to write this post. So I'm just going to quickly list all the products that I purchased and then I will share with y'all my opinions on them.

-Ogx Macadamia Oil Extensive Moisture Mask
-Ogx Argan Oil Shampoo & Conditioner
-Formula 10.0.6 Keep Me Clean
-Freeman Clay Mask
-Garnier Fructis Style Flat Iron Perfector
-Psssssst Dry Shampoo
-Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Masque
-Cotton Balls & Exfoliating Cotton Pads

Face Products:

Formula 10.0.6 Keep Me Clean Clarifying Facial Wipes (Cucumber + Witch Hazel) & Bonus Offer: 2 small packs of Deep Down Detox Super Cleansing Mud Mask with Orange & Bergamot.
I do like the face wipes. I bought this because it was on sale and I saw that it contains Witch Hazel which is supposed to help tone your face and reduces scars plus Cucumber which is a cooling agent for your face. I wouldn't say it's my favorite but if it's on sale again I will repurchase it. Now the best part of this purchase was actually the Deep Down Detox Mud Mask with Bergamot. It is incredible and I absolutely LOVE it. Beware, it smells like an orange cough syrup. It doesn't smell that great but it is amazing. It is a mud mask so it will get tight on your face but it left my skin so smooth and it reduced the visibility of my pores. I ended up using and wasting a whole packet because I didn't know that the consistency is so thick that I probably could have gotten two nights out of the one small packet. It's definitely on my to buy list once I finish up my other masks.

This is the second time I've purchased the Freeman Clay Mask Chocolate and Strawberry. I like this mask a lot because again it has that thick consistency, it leaves my skin feeling super soft and clean, it reduces redness on my face and it smells like chocolate, what more can a girl want? The other "face" items are my cotton balls and pads so I don't think I need to explain them other than I started using the exfoliating pads instead of the normal ones because I find it nicer to use when I use it with my toner. It also takes off nail polish quickler.

Hair Products:
Macadamia Natural Oil Masque vs. OGX Macadamia Mask
If you've seen other reviews on the internet or YouTube you'll probably see the patter of bloggers and vloggers saying that OGX is the dupe for the Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Masque. I'm not saying that it's not true but I wouldn't call the OGX product a "dupe" necessarily. Mainly because they have different consistencies and to me different results. First of all the main difference is price. Now I had purchased the $4 travel size Macadamia Natural Oil (MNO) packet that lasted me about 3 showers. The full size of Macadamia Natural Oil is $33 for 8.5 oz.versus OGX Macadamia Mask which retails for $7.99 for 8.oz. The second difference to me is the way they feel in the shower. The MNO immediately makes my hair feel a lot smoother and silkier while the OGX doesn't really have that quick effect on my hair. The final difference is post-shower. I compared both of them through my regular blow dry routine and just letting my hair air dry. During both the blow and air dry tests, the MNO Masque cuts my drying time by a significant amount. Both products made my hair feel healthier and smoother. I like them both, I think the MNO is a splurge that's why I bought the full size of the OGX but if I will probably purchase the MNO travel size packet once in awhile or maybe even the full size when it's on sale.

Garnier Fructis Flat Iron Perfector I purchased because the majority of my hair products are from Garnier Fructis so I figured I stick with a brand I'm familiar with. I wanted something that would protect my hair from the heat of a flat or curling iron and also that doesn't dull my hair color. I tried this product a few times now and I am a fan. It smells really good, it's very light and sprays evenly. My hair feels very smooth and silky and frizz-free.

Psssssst Dry Shampoo is one of my favorite go to hair product. Even though it comes out white, it doesn't leave a residue. It's very light, it also volumized my roots which is really nice and convenient. I don't know why but I always purchase the travel size instead of the full size. I think it's just more practical to carry around in my purse.

ULTA Reward:

I received an email from ULTA to claim a free Macadamia Natural Oil Flawless which is supposed to be a 6 in 1 hair product. It's similar to Wen product if you've seen the infomercial. I didn't know anything about this product but from the ULTA website it's listed as:

Macadamia Oil and Argan Oil work in conjunction with the hair's natural oils, replenishing hair life and health and imparting manageability, shine and softness.
I haven't tried this out yet because I don't like changing my hair products too often but I will do a review of this product once I try it a few times.

I am very impressed with ULTA's new reward program. I am really excited not only for the coupons but also surprised gift like the Macadamia Natural Oil Flawless. If you are not familiar with the reward program you can check out my post on it here.

If you have any questions or comments please post them below.

Until next time,

Jessica
