March Favorites- Rimmel London, River Island, Almond Butter, Smart Wallet & Favorite YouTube Channels

I can't believe today is the last day of March. This month I decided to do a cumulative favorites so you'll find some beauty products but also my non-beauty favorites.

Let's start with my best beauty finds of the month!

Rimmel London Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation (200 Soft Beige) and
Stay Matte Pressed Powder (001 Transparent)

For the past couple of months I've been looking for a medium to full coverage liquid drugstore foundation that I could use instead of my Clinique Even Better (which I absolute love). I'm always really hesitant to try drugstore foundation because I don't know if it'll match my skin or if it'll cause breakouts. I was at ULTA and decided to pick up the Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder because my face is getting a tad bit oily and I saw the Long Lasting foundation right next to it and decided to pick it up.

Rimmel Long Lasting Foundation, Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder

I remember seeing Anna from Vivianna Does Makeup talk about this foundation and raved about it. When I opened this what I've noticed is that the US version doesn't have a pump which is sad. I like to have control over the amount of product I'm using and this is just a bit messy. It's also scented and I usually prefer fragrance free products. The actual product is really solid. It gave my skin a beautiful satin finish which reminds me  a lot of the Even Better foundation (and the Rimmel also has SPF 20 while Clinique Even Better has SPF 15). I didn't try to keep it on for 25 hours but it lasted a whole work day and some. The powder is also really good. I got the transparent because I don't have to worry about matching it between seasons. It mattify my T-zone and it doesn't leave a white cast on my face.

Maybelline the Falsies Volum' Express Mascara

Maybelline the Falsies Volum' Express

I know this sounds silly but I've never been a mascara girl. I have a friend who thinks that mascara shouldn't even be considered makeup. I've never experienced that profound love for a mascara before. I have super wispy lashes and I've never been a fan of fake lashes because I wear glasses 80% of the time and most of the time they irritate my eyes. I like the Clinique High Impact Mascara and Make Up Forever Smoky Extravagant but they are pricey, not waterproof and they don't significantly lengthened my lashes. I started researching it online and watching a bunch of videos and decided on the falsies. All I have to say is WOW I'm in love. This is a really great, build-able mascara for anyone who has tiny, short, wispy lashes. It lengthens, it doesn't clump and since the brush is so small and curved a little bit, I can get really close to the inner lashes. Love love love. Now I totally get it the whole lip gloss and mascara kinda day.

Moving on from Beauty products, there were a couple of non-beauty items that I love this month.

River Island Iggy Sunglasses and
River Island Clean Stone Gold Cuff Bracelet from ASOS

ASOS, River Island Iggy

I purchased these online from ASOS last August. When I was moving my stuff around these got lost and I just recently found them. It's perfect timing because it has been sunnier and I'm starting to wear my contacts so I'm excited to get some use out of the sunglasses. I got this pair because I don't have a cream color sunglasses and the cat eye shape is subtle which fits my face shape better, I don't see it on ASOS website anymore but you can still get it from River Island. The cuff bracelet is also River Island and I like this type of bracelet and I thought it would go well with a couple of other pieces that I have at home (out of stock).

Justin's Nut Butter & Peanut Butter Cups

Almond Butter, Hazelnut Butter, Justin'sJustin's Peanut Butter Cups

If you follow me on Instagram you probably would've seen the pictures above at some point in the past. I love their Almond Butter I think it's absolutely delicious. The vanilla one has really nice sweetness that's not overbearing and the Hazelnut butter blend is a really good substitute for Nutella (but I still have a big jar of Nutella shhhh!) I like the little serving pouch because it's travel friendly. I like eating them like spread on toast but the Vanilla one is particularly good with apple slices and the Hazelnut butter is super delish with sliced bananas in a sandwich or pancakes.  The actual March favorite is the Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups that I found at Starbucks. I was so excited, these are amazing (Do I really need another reason to stop by Starbucks?).

3M Smart Wallet

3M Smart Wallet

My last actual product I want to talk about is my 3M Smart Wallet that I got from the Supreme Court earlier this month. I have smart cards for both D.C. and Philadelphia transit system so I have both of them in the wallet. It's made out of rubber and has a really good grip so that my cards won't fall out if my phone is upside down. It's really useful for me personally because sometimes I would use both cards on the same day. I don't know if you can get this online, but if you see it somewhere it's definitely worth the investment. Someone pointed out to me that it's quiet large and this does cover my camera flash but I have the flash turn off anyway so it's not a problem for me.

YouTubers

My last two favorites are actually YouTube folks. The first one is Donal Skehan and he has a cooking channel on YouTube. I really like his style of cooking, very simple and not fussy. I tried his banana bread and meatloaf recipes and both turned out amazing. The second one is Jessica Murphy of JAMbeauty 89. I can't remember how I started watching her video this month but I'm glad I found her channel. She has a really good mix of drugstore + high end reviews and a really cool personality.

That's all from me this month. As always, thank you so much for reading!

Until next time,
