What's in My Bag? Washington D.C. Edition
This is a bit different than my usual post. As you can see from the title it's a 'What's in My Bag?' and it's a bit tricky setting this up when it's not in a video format. I had intended to do a DC series this time around but the weather was dreadful and I didn't do a lot of the touristy things I had intended. I do have a couple of tips about travelling to and within D.C. that I will whip up for the final DC post. If you haven't check out my Hungry Girl's Guide to D.C. please do so and let me know what you think!
The items that are in my bag are basically my day to day item. When I'm being touristy in D.C. I tend to keep my bag small and my items minimal just because I know I have to go through so many metal detectors. This particular day was my touristy day so I didn't pack my notebook or agenda.
The Bag
My bag is a Michael Kors messenger bag that I got from my mom as a gift several years ago. it's part canvas/part leather. I like it because even though it's small, it fits a lot of stuff. It has three different sections inside, a front pocket and also a slim pocket at the back of the bag.Key Chain
My key chain/ID holder is from Vera Bradley, it's really old you guys but it's still functional and I love it.
Wallet
My wallet again is an older Michael Kors Wallet, I'm not a big fan of logos so I'm glad I got it before MK went a little overboard on giant logos.
Snacks
My snacks for the day is a mix of banana chips, raw pecans/almonds/cashews, raisins, golden raisins and pumpkin seeds.
The "anti-bottle" water
The weird looking pouch is actually a Vapur Element container. Since my bag is small, a water bottle would just take up so much space. So instead of buying water bottles when I travel, I tend to buy gallon water for the hotel room and then fill this container as needed.
Earbuds
Got it as a gift, this is by far the best earbuds I've ever had. It just fits in my ear so nicely and I love that it comes in a little pouch.
Tissue Holder + Makeup bag
The tissue holder is from the Smithsonian and is based on Miller's poster. You would think I got it recently, but I've had this since 2005 when I attended a competition in D.C. I believe you can still find the "We Can Do It" line at either the Air and Space Museum or the National Museum of American History (they also carry a line of Pan Am products!). The Makeup bag is from Ipsy and I will list the content below.
Envelope
Last but not least is an envelope that I forgot to mail to my buddy The Drowsy Reader (ooops).
Makeup Bag Content
I don't usually wear a lot of makeup unless I have an event, so most of the products below are not actually makeup products.
