Dollar Tree Beauty Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips for Hazel Eyes Review

I've been watching way too many YouTube videos lately and I came to the realization that apparently many Dollar Tree carries drugstore brands makeup beyond L.A. Girl. I've always been very cautious when it comes to buying makeup and beauty/body products at Dollar Tree. Even when buying snacks or food items (at regular stores too) I always check the expiration date.

Dollar Tree Makeup, Physicians Formula Shimmer Strip for Hazel Eyes

When I went to Dollar Tree near my home, I found this weird and slightly shady Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips which I believe runs for $11.95 in stores. I've never used Physicians Formula products before nor have I seen this particular palette at ULTA or my Rite Aid, Walgreens, etc. I was curious so I got the Shimmer Strip 1150 for Hazel Eyes .

The packaging is super weird. It's just the metal pan in a flimsy plastic case that's hard to open with a useless dual ended sponge that I somehow misplaced 5 minutes after opening the package. Some of the shade strips are so tiny that when I tried swatching it on my arm it just kind of blends with other color. The color pay-off is pretty decent as you can see below.

None of the colors are something that I would use everyday. Personally, the gold and fuchsia shades are more accent colors. The shimmer strip for hazel eyes that's being sold in stores has completely different shades that I feel are more wearable (which is probably why this is at the Dollar Tree, no?). When I searched the 1150 code  there's a huge amount of sellers on eBay selling it for ridiculous amounts of money so I would say beware.

In terms of longevity, I would say it's average for drugstore. Here's my thought on it though, because the packaging is so sad, I can actually see the amount of product without the bulky case. The net weight is the same as the ones being sold in store which is 0.26 oz. If this is the same formula that are being sold in store for $11.95, I don't think I would purchase it. I would rather buy the Wet n' Wild palettes for cheaper (and more pigmented) or invest in a Sonia Kashuk Palette and Maybelinne The Nudes. I know that it's only $1, but I don't know if I'll purchase another makeup at the Dollar Tree.

If you've seen or purchased Dollar Tree makeup please let me know below. I am definitely interested in reading other people's reviews. Thanks for reading!

Until next time,
