Sample Sunday- Origins VitaZing

Origins VitaZing is one of the few sample size products that I've actually been using for awhile. It is an "energy boosting" moisturizer with Mangosteen and contains SPF 15. I received the sample as gift with purchase last holiday season and I've been really impressed. My sample is 0.5 fl. oz., the full size is 1.7 fl. oz. for $36.

This product is basically a tinted moisturizer but it's not the same texture or intended for the same purpose as a BB cream. This product also doesn't come in different shades, it's just this one product with "sheer tint release" that is supposed to be universal. I think it works really well for my skin tone but I don't think this is something that everyone can wear. As you can see below, the product comes out white and pretty sheer but in less than a minute between the time I applied it to the time the picture is taken, you can see the color beginning to set.

After I rub it on my hand, you can really see that it is not at all sheer which is unfortunate that a lot of people won't be able to wear it because it is a great product. The product sets dewy and gives me a very fresh and natural glow (like I just spent a weekend on the beach).

So on days that I feel my skin just really needs to breathe or days that I don't think I have a lot of blemishes to cover, I would use this in place of my Clinique Moisturizer. It instantly brightens my face like I had a good night sleep. I can walk out with just this product on my face and feel great about it cause it has SPF 15 which is great. I would also use this as a moisturizer/primer and then use a foundation to build a heavier coverage.

Like I mentioned earlier, I love the finish and really like the product overall. $36 is a lot of money for a moisturizer but I use about a dime-size worth of product so even this sample is still quite full. I don't know yet as of today if I'll be purchasing the full size but this sample is a win for me.

As always, thanks for reading!
