Sample Sunday- Adovia Dead Sea Salt Scrub

Today's review is going to cover another product by a brand that I covered last Sunday which is Adovia. Today, I am reviewing the dead sea salt body scrub (Adovia also has a sea salt facial scrub). The scrub comes in a little tub that contains 11 oz/300 grams of product.

Adovia Dead Sea Salt Scrub is made with Dead Sea Mineral Salt and Moisturizing Natural Oils (It has a LOT of mineral oil so it does get's a bit tricky and slippery trying to handle the product). It is unfortunately for me personally too scented. I think the fragrance is supposed to remind me of ocean breeze but to for me it's a bit much, and the scent does linger on the skin. I think with so many oils and extracts in the product, they could've picked a more natural scent or just leave it unscented. Other than my issue with it being overtly fragrance, it's a pretty solid product and gets the job done. This scrub is very exfoliating but because again it's salt based, you want to be careful with any open wounds. The mineral oils leaves my skin feeling super hydrated and soft that I don't need to apply lotion afterwards.

I use about one to two tablespoons of the scrub and just rub it in a circular motion all over my body focusing in areas that needs exfoliation like my knees, ankles, and elbows. This is especially great to do before applying self-tanner. Because of my oily/combination oil and reaction to some oils, I've never used it on my face. But again, as I mentioned earlier, Adovia does carry another product that's for the face.

Overall, I think it's a great product if you are looking to try a dead sea salt body scrub. Between the face mask and the scrub, I've definitely probably used the face mask more this summer but I can definitely see myself using the scrub more during the fall/winter season as my skin gets dryer and patchier and would need the extra exfoliation and moisturizing mineral oil.

You can find some Adovia products on Amazon but their product line is available at Cleopatra's Choice.

As always, thanks for reading.

Until next time,
