The Time Chamber Coloring Book by Daria Song + 2 Free Printable Pages

The Time Chamber is Seoul-based artist Daria Song's second book which follows the story of the red-haired fairy that was featured in her first book- The Time Garden. I reviewed the Time Garden and the topic of Adult Coloring Book back in October and I still really love and enjoy coloring the pages of the book. I waited a long time before adding an adult coloring book into my personal library because I'm always wary about things that are a little bit over-hype and coloring books geared towards adults are definitely having a "moment".  

What sets Daria Song's books apart from the rest of the adult coloring books for me is the fact that there's an on going story and themes of adventure and wonderment. I've been using different types of color pencils, crayons, paint and even some colorful ultra fine sharpie and even though I'm not an artist I would say that the books are made with quality papers. I haven't had any bleeding through the pages or have issues with the quality of the book. Every single page is different and exciting, there's not lot of repetition in the illustrations.  

What's great about coloring books for the artistically-challenged like me is obviously half of the work is already done for you by a professional and you are really only limited by your imagination in terms of coloring the pages. If you are interested in purchasing this as a holiday gift for someone, even though it doesn't have an age limit, I would invest this for teens, college-aged students and adults because a lot of the pages in the books are very intricate and detailed oriented.  I will be purchasing both books for a cousin who is a freshman in high school and love doing a lot of artsy things so I think she would enjoy and appreciate these books as much as I have.
