Sample Sunday - Neogen Rose Real Flower Cleansing Water
Sample Sunday is back and the first sample of 2018 is Neogen Rose Real Flower Cleansing Water. I received this sample from Soko Glam's pop up at Bloomingdale SoHo.
This cleansing water is gentle for dry and sensitive skin and is made without artificial fragrances or coloring. I first tried this product way back in the summer and forgot all about it because I actually don't like rose-scented things. I find most products to be overwhelming like the Rose Face Mask from Fresh which also has real rose petals in the products. This cleansing water however has just a mild natural rose scent and the scent doesn't linger.
This cleansing water works great as a stand alone cleansing water (which also removes waterproof mascara) but in a pinch you can also use it as a toner. Since I've been double cleansing with oil based and then water based cleanser I haven't found the need to use an astringent like the Clinique Clarifying Lotion so a product like this is also great for travelling since I can use it as a cleansing water + toner. My favorite use for this product is for after I get home and I don't want to wash my face right away. This just refreshes my skin quickly, removes my makeup if I wear any, gets rid of grimes and oil so it doesn't settle and cause breakouts. I use it with either my layered cotton pads from either MUJI or innisfree. You do want to saturate the cotton pads but I found if you use a layered cotton pad from an Asian brand you don't need a lot to saturate because it absorbs and distributes evenly throughout the cotton pads.
The full size product is $20 and is available at Soko Glam. Charlotte Cho, the founder of Soko Glam also curates for Sephora and while the Rose is not available in store, Sephora does carry the Calendula Cleansing Water. As always thanks for reading!
Until next time,
Jessica
