LUSH Love Lettuce Face Mask First Impressions
Hello!
When I was shopping last weekend I wanted to pick up a couple of things from LUSH and decided to try one of the face masks. I was interested in Oatfix but ended up getting Love Lettuce which has ground almonds that acts as an exfoliator (which reminds me a lot of my Ole Henriksen Walnut Complexion Scrub). When I got home I popped the container in the fridge for a few hours until it's time to wash my face.
Prep & Application
I used my regular cleansing routine before applying the mask. When I was at the store the LUSH, associate told me with this particular mask I should use it like a face scrub first so I applied it on and kind of massaged it all over my face and let it be for 5-10 minutes. Since the instruction said to not let it completely dry I didn't wait the full 10 minutes. I washed it with warm water and used a gentle muslin cloth just to make sure that my face was clean. I also applied toner and moisturizer as usual. Immediately after, my face felt a little bit tight and tingly.
30 minutes later - my face feels like it got a good scrub down but I do feel and see irritation along my jaw line which is kind of disappointing since I've had really good experience with other LUSH products.
I think it's a really good face mask but I don't know if it's something that I would re-purchase since it seems to irritate parts of my face (and made my face super sensitive afterwards). I might use it just as a regular scrub as to not waste it. I might go back to LUSH at some point and see if Oatfix is a better match for my skin but in the meantime I am going to stick with Freeman and Origins face masks.
Until next time,
