Pura d'or Premium Organic Argan Oil Based Shampoo & Conditioner Review
Today I will be sharing with you my review of Pura d'or Organic Argan Oil Based shampoo and conditioner. I received the products for free in exchange for an honest review by Pura d'or with no additional compensations through Brand Backer.
The products I am reviewing are the Hair Loss Prevention Shampoo & Argan Based Conditioner in Lavender Vanilla.
Before we start, here are the information that I received from the company:
Prevents Hair Loss
Strengthens Hair
Adds Volume
All Natural and Organic
Vitamins for Hair Growth
Paraben, SLS and Gluten Free
12 DHT Blockers
Premium Organic Argan Oil Based Conditioner- Lavender Vanilla
99% Vegetable Base Ingredients
Manages Frizz
Enhances Shine
Argan Oil Based
Paraben, Sulfate and Gluten Free
When I originally received the products, my hair was long and I really struggled with washing my hair with the shampoo. I felt like I had to use twice the amount of products to clean my hair. In addition, the conditioner doesn't feel slick so I had trouble brushing my knots out with a wide comb and my hair just didn't feel right in the shower.
I like that it still lathers well, I was concerned since it was an oil based that it wasn't going to lather. Although I didn't like the way my hair feels in the shower, I really liked the way it feels once it's dry.
Once I got my haircut, I like the shampoo much better because I wasn't struggling as much with knots and the length. But I've noticed that my scalp became oily after one day and my hair became difficult to style. I have straight Asian hair with minimal frizz and I feel that if I want my hair straight all the time this would be a great shampoo to use because it made my hair really smooth and shiny. My hair just won't hold the curl or blow dry since I started using the shampoo.
I am still really torn about the conditioner. I love the scent, it's so soothing in the shower but I just don't think it's the right kind of conditioner for my hair. I guess I like conditioner that feels more slick. Again, one of the main features of the conditioner is to maintain frizz which I don't struggle with at all so if you have frizzy hair this might work better for you.
I will continue to use the shampoo because I like that it has properties that will strengthened my hair. Even though it's difficult to style it's still better to have healthy hair. The conditioner on the other hand I might pass on to a friend who has frizzy hair and see if it fits her hair type better.
