Dollar Tree Beauty Part 3- Wet n' Wild Matte Top Coat & Maybelline Master Smoky
It's another edition of Dollar Tree Beauty! I have to say out of all of the beauty purchases I've made, these two products I was the most excited about. Today I am reviewing the Wet n Wild Matte Top Coat and Maybelline Master Smoky by Eye Studio in Smoldering Violet.
Wet n Wild Wild Shine Matte Top Coat
I personally am not a fan of the Wild Shine nail polish line. I prefer the megalast line because I do like the bigger brush and the formula last longer. If this was my first matte top coat I would say it's fine but last year I actually got the N.Y.C Matte top coat which I think has a better formula and doesn't cost a whole lot more. If you haven't tried Matte polish, you should definitely give it a try, it essentially doubles your nail polish collection.
I am not sure why this is at the Dollar Tree because I still see this product in stores for around $8. Nonetheless, I tried it and it's a really great find for $1. The concept of this product is you are supposed to be able to use it as a liner and then smudge it out to create a smoky look. The problem is that the formula isn't pigmented or creamy enough. You can see from the photo below it doesn't have the best pigment and once I start blending it out, the color isn't as intense.
